To help you understand how this essential oil can help with problems like anxiety, stress, depression and nervousness, let me first explain to you the therapeutic properties.

The essential oil chemistry of Melissa Essential Oil and it's therapeutic properties:
Aldehydes >30% - Sedative, anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic (reduces anxiety)
Sesquiterpene 15-20% - Calming and soothing to the nervous system
Monoterpene <5% - Sedative
Esters < 4% - Relaxing to the CNS
To reap the benefits of Melissa Essential Oil to alleviate stress, depression, anxiety, nervousness and other issues related to to the nervous system, you can purchase a diffuser and add a few drops for aromatherapy or make your own nasal inhaler with the essential oil. If you have some cotton balls, you can add a few drops and inhale the aroma. Inhale in for 3 seconds, hold for 3 seconds, exhale and repeat.
